Under 13, ages 13–17 and guardians
How you create a NEWDIH account (Passport) depends on your age.
Rules by age
- People under 13 can create their own account if they have a club sign-up code. The code arrives when a guardian gives consent through the child's club (see Children under 13 using NEWDIH through their club). Without a code, people under 13 cannot sign up.
- People aged 13–17 need a guardian's consent. A consent confirmation screen appears during sign-up (see Sign up).
- People 18 and older can sign up as is.
Children under 13 using NEWDIH through their club
This is limited to clubs in Japan whose representative has agreed to our club agreement.
- The club sends the guardian a request for consent.
- When the guardian gives consent in the app, a club sign-up code for the child is shown.
- The child creates a new account. On the age screen, entering a date of birth shows Club sign-up code (if you are under 13) — enter the code there.
- Under-13 accounts cannot use public profiles or share links, contact people outside the club, or receive ads and activity tracking (including analytics cookies).
- The guardian can withdraw consent at any time from the Link with Child screen in the app.
For the full rules, see the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The announcement is in the release notes (Round 97).
Using NEWDIH from a guardian's account, without a child account
Even without creating an account for the child, the guardian's NEWDIH can handle things for the child. There are two ways.
- A child registered at a club — get the persistent ID from the club representative and enter it together with the child's date of birth to connect (see Connect guardians to a child with a persistent ID). You can see the club's schedule, album and fitness test results.
- Register them as family — in Lifeballer mode, under Family & Club → Link with Child, use Children registered in your family (under 13) to register them within the guardian's account. School perks and consultations work through this registration.
