- We made the corner radius of cards and buttons one step smaller across the app. Text sizes and spacing are unchanged. Round icons and pill-shaped buttons stay as they were.
Trial applications, all the way through to the result

- Once you record a decision, a Result notice (draft) is prepared. This is sent in the club's name. Review it before sending — nothing is sent automatically. The notice goes out in the applicant’s language.
- Applicants get a page to see their result. It opens without signing in, and they can withdraw from there.
- We rebuilt the Applications list. Applications nobody has touched come first, and Attended / Did not come can be recorded here too. The Internal note (not sent) holding your reasoning is now a separate field from the message you send to the applicant.
- So that applications are not left waiting, we added deadlines. After 7 days the club is reminded; after 14 days the application becomes Expired. We tell the applicant when it expires. Applications you have already moved to Reviewing never expire.
- A trial session stops accepting applications once its date and time have passed. Even if the public link is still going round, a session that is over can no longer be applied to. The places left now change on the spot right after someone applies.
- Opening a club screen while still shown as Lifeballer left the sidebar belonging to another stage. Club screens now switch to Coach automatically. Only what you see changes; what you can do does not.
“Where members have been”, and a tidier way in to trials

- We added Where members have been to the Conquest map. It shows only how many visits each venue has had, and never who went there. Venue names are shown, so the source is always credited.
- We have ended the club’s standing public recruitment page. It duplicated the club’s own website, and the copy nobody updates always goes stale. The only page NEWDIH publishes now is the trial application page. Links you have already shared keep working.
- On the consent screen you see the first time you sign in, the heading named a number that did not match how many items you actually had to answer. The heading now follows the number of items.
What is on at this ground
New
- We added venue pages. They list Upcoming matches and Past matches. Open one from the venue name in your check-ins.
- Only matches announced by clubs appear. An announced match is now visible to people who do not follow that club, too.
- Scores appear only once a match is over, so an upcoming match never looks as if it ended 0-0.
- A match that only has a date stays under “Upcoming matches” for the whole of that day.
The Conquest map is now a real map of Japan
Improved
- We redrew the Conquest map from a grid of tiles into the real outline of Japan. Each prefecture keeps its own shape, shaded by how many grounds you have reached.
- The place to record a visit is now a single card. “Find from my location” became a helper next to the venue picker: it only reorders the list by distance. Without tapping it, every venue is there from the start.
- The order on the page is now record → Conquest map → Your check-ins. The whole picture first, the individual entries after.
- The Ground Map now appears in the menu even if you have not registered a club you support. Until now it did not show up at all for anyone without one.
A round-up of fixes
FixedImproved
- We fixed a bug where the names entered at sign-up never reached Passport, so other people saw “Name not set”. In the Japanese sign-up the two name fields also sat in English order; the family name now comes first.
- In the fees ledger, we fixed the “Record payment” button being squeezed and wrapped onto two lines.
- On the guardian screen, we fixed the note about a matching email address appearing even when there were no candidates.
- We fixed the side-menu bookmark (★) not appearing at all on touch devices, where tapping an invisible strip added a bookmark by accident. The tap target is bigger now, too.
Every ground you visit stays on your map
New
- We added the Ground Map. Pick a ground you went to and Check in.
- Tap Find from my location and the nearest grounds come first. If you decline location, or it is unavailable, you can still search by name and record the visit as usual.
- Grounds placed from their street address are marked Approximate location. They can be a few hundred metres off, so you can check the name before you pick one.
- We added the Conquest map. It shows how many grounds and prefectures you have reached, both on the map and as a list.
Pick the clubs you support, and keep the matches you watched

- You can now register the Clubs you support. Choose the relationship: “I support them” or “My former club”. Add even one and the “Support” menu opens up.
- We added the Match log. A date alone is enough to keep an entry. Venue, home/away, score, seat, who you went with and a note are all optional — fill in what you remember.
- Underneath it, we built lists of clubs and venues. Search by name and pick one. Clubs and venues that are not there yet will keep being added.
- The lists come from open data, so the Source is always shown on screen.
Lifeballer now has a place of its own

- We settled the side menu. No item leads nowhere any more. Anything still being built says “Coming soon” in plain sight. The five everyday records are gathered under “Daily Life” (your old links still open).
- The bookmarks (★) in the side menu now work in every stage — player, coach and Lifeballer. The limit of ten is counted per stage.
- You can now set a Nickname, a one-of-a-kind ID. You can use every feature of the app without setting one. It is separate from the human-readable display name: 3–20 characters using letters, numbers and underscores.
- Passport now holds your Connections settings. Everything starts switched off, and you can use every feature with them off. One is live today: “Let people find you by nickname”.
- There is now a Points & Rank screen. Earning is not switched on yet — match logs and check-ins will start adding points later. They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
Consents can stay off — and you can change them at any time

- The Account tab of Passport now has switches you control for five consents. They all start off, and the app works without turning any of them on.
- You can withdraw at any time. Even after turning one on, a confirmation step takes it back off.
- Consents that used to be recorded only now actually take effect. Two are live today — Video storage and Visibility in the community — and the other three are labelled “Coming soon” on screen.
- When an action needs a consent, a card explains it right there. “Not now” simply closes it, and if you agree the action continues without picking your file again.
Your child’s schedule, on the guardian’s screen too

- As a Lifeballer (guardian) you can now see the next 30 days of club events for a connected child, in date order.
- Connect by picking from the children who listed you as guardian, or by entering the public ID (a number starting with PLR-). It goes through a confirmation step, and you can disconnect at any time.
- We fixed a problem where a second sibling sharing the same guardian email could not register. You can now connect with each sibling.
- For now this is view-only (answering attendance and checking in from the guardian side come later).
Announcements are now a place you can reply
New
- You can now reply in a thread to an announcement from your club. The sender and the recipients read the same single conversation. Past exchanges stay readable even after someone leaves the club.
- Replies arrive in the in-app bell — including for the person who sent the announcement. We are not sending push notifications for replies.
- You can now set hours when notifications stay quiet. Announcements still reach your inbox and the bell during those hours, so you can read them later.
- You can also choose whether the unread badge appears in the side menu.
Choose your own text size, and find every setting in Passport

- You can now set the app-wide text size to Small, Medium or Large. The default Medium looks exactly as before, and only the text changes — spacing and widths stay put. The setting is saved on each device.
- Scattered settings are now gathered into five Passport tabs (Profile / Account / Membership / Storage & links / Notifications & display). Old links move to the new tabs on their own.
- The notification list is now its own screen opened from the bell, and only the delivery preferences stay under “Notifications & display”. On a phone, the tab you are on no longer hides outside the tab bar.
- We fixed the header overlapping the status bar when the app is opened from the iOS home screen, and evened out body widths that differed from screen to screen.
Cookie handling now follows the rules where you live
Improved
- Visits from the EU, the UK, the EEA and Switzerland now use opt-in consent: no analytics cookies at all until you agree.
- In Japan and other regions the notice still appears only once. Choosing “Don’t use” now also deletes analytics cookies that were already set.
- The privacy policy has a cookie section, and “Change cookie settings” is always available so you can change your mind later. It is there in all six languages.
- We corrected the old wording that no longer matched reality (“We do not use analytics cookies”) in every language.
A Help Center that answers “I’m stuck” — in six languages

- We opened a Help Center you can search yourself. It covers 7 categories and 37 articles, from getting started to troubleshooting.
- It has keyword search. Look things up in the words you would actually use, like “video upload failed”.
- You can read it in six languages: Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese.
- You can open it from the site navigation and the footer, on any page. If an article does not solve it, you can email support from there.
Away trips and camps, planned inside the app
New
- Added away trip management. Alongside sign-ups, the itinerary and the packing list, you can now handle offered cars and the carpool sheet and issue a share link for the handbook — all in one place.
- Added camp management, a module separate from away trips that covers lodging, room assignments, a day-by-day itinerary and meal plans.
- Participation fees can now be billed in one go through the club fee ledger to everyone who answered "attending". Pressing it again never double-bills.
- Health information (allergies, regular medication, emergency contacts) is stored encrypted and visible only to the accompanying coaches and the club representative. Every view is logged, and the data is deleted automatically three months after the trip ends.
